AND THE STORY GOES A LITTLE LIKE THIS...

DORIAN DANIELS hails from Brewer and is a Brewer High School graduate.  She attended the University of Maine and Bangor Community College with a major in Theatre arts. In a search for a warmer climate and a change of pace she transferred to Florida and then Boston to complete a degree in Interior Design (don't ask).  O.K, since you asked:  She actually worked for many years in Massachusetts as an Interior Designer but when she got a call one day from a screaming customer who swore that her life would  end if her custom sofa was late being delivered, she laughed, hung up and began to seek a new career. Decorating is still a favorite hobby.  

Living in Boston for approximately 15 years, she pursued work as a voiceover talent and was very successful.  She also developed a career in marketing and worked for several multi-million dollar corporations running their advertising departments. In 1995 she moved back to Maine to assume the duties of marketing director for the Maine Internetworks. Responsible for voicing all of MINT's radio spots and teaching their seminars, she caught the radio bug again. Dorian joined WEZQ in November 1999. 

A mere five months later, much to her surprise, Arbitron ratings placed her as the #1 DJ in her time slot in the area. She attributes her success to all her listeners who are always so kind and supportive.  According to Dorian, WEZQ is one of the best moves she ever made. Her comment, "it's like getting to spending every day having fun with a few thousand of your best friends.  The rest as they say is history...or her story in this case. 

  Dorian has been married for 8 + years to a Massachusetts native, John, who's love of outdoor motor sports wooed him to make Maine his home.  Both Dorian and John share a love of motorcycles, dirt bikes, boating, jet skiing, snowmobiling and can prove it with a simple glance in their garage at all the toys!  Also a bit of a geek wanna be, Dorian enjoys computers and the Internet.  She loves to get e-mail from all her friends and listeners.
